MEET THE TEAM
Ken Moody
General Manager
Ken brings over a dozen years of construction project management experience with local homebuilders ranging from basic tract building to high end custom homes. His last venture before starting H.I.T. was managing the production department with a large local homebuilder. He chose to step away from the day-to-day management of new home construction and take his experience to deliver an overall positive experience for our customers versus a focus on volume and bottom-line numbers. Ken has a Business Management degree from Longwood University and enjoys spending his free time with family but can also be found on the golf course every now and then. Ken manages the day-to-day operation of all active projects and communicates directly with our customers to set expectations and follow through with execution of the scope of work.
Matt Anderson
Sales/Business Development Manager
Born and raised in Chesterfield County, Matt currently resides in Midlothian with his wife Michelle and their four children. Matt attended Meadowbrook High School in Chesterfield County and then continued his education at VCU. After college, Matt’s passion for people and love of cars led him into the automotive industry. There he became focused on service and customer experience, ensuring every interaction was positive and helpful for clients. After a decade in the car business, Matt continued his career in sales and process development with one of the top financial companies in Richmond. There he focused on improving customer experience by working on processes that started with the customer goal first and worked backwards to also achieve the company need. Matt brings his passion for people and customer experience to the construction industry, and enjoys assisting clients in reimagining their space to make their home lives easier. When not working, you can find him supporting VCU athletics, attempting to get better at the game of golf, or trying to find the closest beach to park a chair on.
James Vanhook
Senior Construction Manager
James has been involved in construction since 1993 with experience in new home track building, custom home building, as well as additions and remodels. Originally from Richmond, VA, James went straight into the workforce and worked as a self-employed carpenter. In his free time, James enjoys golfing, surf fishing in Hatteras, North Carolina, and spending quality time with his wife and son. James serves as HIT’s Senior Construction Manager overseeing all aspects of our client’s construction projects.
Will Allen
Project Manager
Will is a skilled Project Manager with extensive experience in bathroom, kitchen, third-floor, and outdoor space remodels. He is passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences, ensuring that each interaction, every detail of the work in progress, and the final results are all of the highest quality. Will began his career by apprenticing under master craftsmen, later honing his skills in his own company. His primary focus is on making home remodeling projects smooth and rewarding for clients. He thrives on creative and unique projects that allow for artistic expression. Guided by strong principles of faith and patriotism, Will brings dedication and integrity to everything he does. When he's not on the job, you can find Will in his workshop, working on his project cars, or exploring the great outdoors in his favorite vehicle so far—his beloved Jeep Wrangler.
Seth Dunnavant
Production Manager
Seth was born and raised in the city of Richmond. He has over a decade of experience in production and warranty management in the building industry. Seth graduated from VCU and worked in financial risk management before finding his passion in the world of residential home building. Seth has had great success in everything from large scale production building, managing entire neighborhoods, to smaller, local builds focusing on high end custom houses. His experience led him into a management role where he trained and developed construction project managers as well as produced procedures, policies, and plans for future company growth. He is proud to bring this experience to Home Improvement Team as their Production Manager.
