Copper Sinks Are Easier To Keep Clean

They are built for durability, and they will keep the same look for many years with very little maintenance required. In time the copper will start to change color but this can be treated pretty easily. As for sanitary purposes copper is the best choice that is out there as bacteria will not survive that long on copper, maybe only a couple of hours as compared to stainless steel sinks, in which bacteria can survive up to a couple of days or more. This also comes in handy when it is time to clean the sink, which all you really need to do so is some hot soapy water.

Most of the copper sinks for sale that are out there are made by hand, another reason that they are so expensive, besides the fact that you are buying a big piece of copper. As you start shopping around and looking at them you will see that many of them have designs that are imprinted in the sink, that can add a very nice elegant touch to the bathroom.  When you are shopping for copper sinks you want to make sure that the sink you are getting is mostly copper, you will be able to determine this by asking or you will notice a huge difference in price. The space you will have is important too, if you have your heart set on a specific shower stall and it will not fit in your bathroom, you may have to take your remodeling of the bathroom a step further and expand the bathroom. By doing this you are turning your bathroom into a major home improvement project.

Also some shower stalls are pre-molded, which can make them extremely difficult to fit through doorways. If you are looking for a cheap way to add a shower stall to your home there are many out there for only a couple hundred dollars, and they can be assembled just about anywhere and do not take up much space at all.

These types of standalone shower stalls will come in a kit in most cases, and within the kit could be the mat or flooring, the side walls, shower handles, shower head and neck, railings, sliding door or shower curtain and rod.

There are many home improvement stores such as The Home Depot and Lowes that sell complete shower stalls and depending on the type of package you are purchasing they may even install it for you for free, or they may charge you a small fee.

If you have a tiled shower stall or a bath tub and shower double you may want to consider getting the tiles and the tubs repainted. This can add a great look to the double stall and will only cost you a fraction of the price of buying brand new, let alone the installation costs. You will have to get a contractor to do this though as it can be a tough task.

You will have to sand down all of the tiles and the tub, then make sure that the sides and the tiles are properly grouted, so once the tub and tile is sprayed it will have a nice smooth looking finish to it.
